Born in April, 1952. With his background in architecture, worked as an art director in FCB and Publicis Advertising Agencies, moving afterwards to RTP, Portuguese Public Television, where he began as a graphic designer, then as director and was afterwords head of the graphic department. here, he wrote and directed several short animation films, documentaries and cultural series, being also responsible for a large part of the motion graphics produced by RTP from 1985 to 1998.
In the meantime in 1991 he founded with fellow animator and director Zepe (José Pedro Cavalheiro) the animation, motion graphics and documentary production company Animais A.V.P.L., where he is currently director and producer.
