Carlos Fernandes was born in Lisbon in 1966.
Plastic artist and passionate for cinema, began in animation in 1999 and since then he has worked as free-lancer for several animation studios.
He has aimed is effort in formation towards animation and that has led him to get in touch with some of the most renowned international animation artists.
TURNO DA NOITE (Night Shift) in 2001 was his debut in direction and, a year later he co-directed the animation short A CULPA (The Guilt) with Irina Calado.
He is also the author of several awarded graphic works in supporting programmes for the developing of new projects.
